اقتادته قوات الجيش أثناء رعيه قطيعه إلى حاجز ترقوميا، حيث أطلق عليه الجندي الذي كان يحرسه النار. ويزعم الجيش أنه حاول انتزاع سلاح من أحد الجنود عند الحاجز.
