استُشهد عندما صعد إلى الطابق الثاني من منزله في حي الزيتون ليحضر الماء لعائلته. وذُكر اسمه على موقع فتح بوصفه مقاتلًا، لكن تحقيق بتسيلم لم يجد ما يدعم هذا الادعاء.

Killed when he went up to the second floor of his house in a-Zeitun neighborhood to get water for his family. His name was mentioned on the Fatah website as a combatant, but B'Tselem's investigation found no evidence to support the claim.
