استُشهد في منزله مع ثمانية آخرين من أفراد عائلته عندما انهار المنزل على من كانوا بداخله. وكان اثنان من الشهداء من أقاربهم القادمين من الأردن إلى قطاع غزة لحضور حفل زفاف، ولم يتمكنوا من العودة بعد إغلاق معبر رفح.

Killed in his home together with eight other members of his family when the home collapsed on the people who were inside. Two of those killed were relatives from Jordan who had come to the Gaza Strip for a wedding and were unable to return following the closure of Rafah Crossing.
