Killed when a stun grenade fired by Israeli security forces hit him, lodging in his face during the Return Protests near the Gaza perimeter fence, east of Gaza City; thousands took part in the protests. At the demonstration, some protesters torched tires, launched incendiary balloons and threw stones, improvised grenades and IEDs at Israeli troops stationed on the other side of the fence.
