Hit in the chest by Israeli security forces’ gunfire during the Return Protests near the Gaza perimeter fence, while he was standing about 300 meters from the fence, near Erez Crossing; thousands took part in the protests. During the demonstration, some of the protesters torched tires and threw Molotov cocktails, a grenade, an explosive device and stones at Israeli troops stationed on the other side of the fence.
