Died of her wounds shortly after being hit in the neck by Israeli security forces' gunfire while about 200 meters away from the Gaza perimeter fence during the Return Protests near the fence, east of Gaza City; thousands took part in the protests. During the demonstration, some of the demonstrators torched tires and threw stones, explosive devices and improvised grenades at Israeli security forces who were stationed on the other side of the fence.
