È rimasto ferito in casa sua nel bombardamento della vicina casa della famiglia Kulab. Nella casa dei Kulab sono stati uccisi quattro membri della famiglia e tre miliziani dell'ala militare di Hamas. Nelle case vicine sono stati uccisi anche tre membri della famiglia Yunes e una donna della famiglia ‘Aytah.
