È stato ucciso, insieme a un amico, da un «missile di avvertimento» lanciato dall'esercito israeliano sul tetto dell'edificio al-Katibah, nella zona occidentale di Gaza City. I due ragazzi erano seduti sul tetto. L'edificio è stato bombardato pochi minuti dopo; 23 palestinesi sono rimasti feriti nel bombardamento.

Killed, along with a friend, by a “warning missile” the Israeli military fired at the roof of the al-Katibah Building in western Gaza City. The two boys had been sitting on the rooftop. The building was bombed minutes later; 23 Palestinians were wounded in the bombing.
