Tué chez lui avec sa femme dans une frappe aérienne sur neuf maisons près de la place a-Sheikh Zayed. Le bombardement a également tué six membres de la famille a-Tanani – le père, la mère enceinte et leurs quatre enfants mineurs – alors qu'ils tentaient de fuir leur maison. Un membre de la branche armée du Hamas qui habitait à proximité n'était pas chez lui au moment de l'attaque.

Killed at home along with his wife in an airstrike on nine homes near a-Sheikh Zayed Square. The bombing also killed six members of the a-Tanani family - the father, the pregnant mother, and their four children, who were minors - as they were trying to flee their home. A Hamas military wing operative who lived nearby was not home at the time of the attack.
