Murió junto con otras 19 personas cuando acudió a socorrer a las víctimas del ataque contra el mercado del barrio de a-Shuja’iyeh, en la ciudad de Gaza. Killed along with 19 others when he went to offer aid to the casualties in the strike on the marketplace in the neighborhood of a-Shuja’iyeh, Gaza City. Among the fatalities were a minor, four medics – three of them Hamas military branch operatives – three photojournalists and four civil defense personnel. Earlier, a strike on the nearby home of the a-Silk family killed nine members of the family, seven of them minors.
