Hit in the chest by Israeli security forces' gunfire during the Return Protests near the Gaza perimeter fence, east of the city of Rafah; thousands took part in the protests. During the demonstration, some of the demonstrators torched tires and threw stones at Israeli security forces who were stationed on the other side of the fence. Died of his wounds later that day.
