Shot by soldiers in the upper body and legs east of the town of Khuza’a, after crossing the Gaza perimeter fence with another Hamas military branch operative. A third operative was shot to death while approaching the fence a short while later. The military claimed they were in possession of an axe, cutting pliers and gasoline bottles.
