Shot in the chest by Israeli security forces during the Return Protests near the Gaza perimeter fence, east of Gaza City; thousands took part in the protests. During the demonstration, some of the demonstrators torched tires and threw stones at Israeli security forces who were stationed on the other side of the fence. One protestor threw an explosive device that landed inside the Gaza Strip.
