استُشهد مع زوجته وأطفاله الثلاثة وهم في منزلهم في حي الناصر، على بعد نحو ٢٠٠ متر من مقر وزارة الداخلية ومقر المخابرات الفلسطينية السابق. ويشير تحقيق بتسيلم إلى أن مسلحين لم يكونوا موجودين في المنطقة على ما يبدو.

Killed with his wife and his three children while they were at home in a-Nasser neighborhood, some 200 meters from the Internal Ministry headquarters and the former Palestinian Intelligence headquarters. B'Tselem's investigation indicates that armed militants apparently were not present in the area.
